THALIWE’S TRADING ENTERPRISE is a 100% black woman owned company, a Level 1. BBBEE compliant company and was registered at the CIPC in January 2009. It was founded and established by Thandiwe Marumo. The company’s core interests are in skills development, entrepreneurship assistance, internships and learnerships, community and youth development. The company was established due to the lack of skills in general in South Africa, high unemployment rate and lack of small business support in the country. Her passion for up skilling people and passing on or sharing knowledge with others also contributed immensely. She has over twenty years of experience in the mining and minerals industry, working both in production as a qualified Metallurgist and in training as a qualified Human Resource Development specialist.
In terms of skills development TTE provides training interventions within the Services, Agriculture and Mining Sectors. These training interventions have created a need to become an Accredited Training Provider which provides the following:
– training that is internationally recognized and quality assured
– mentors, coaches and subject matter experts that are available and fully qualified.
We specialize in addressing the skills gaps within industries, particular in Services, Sector, Small Medium Enterprises, Agriculture and Mining & Mineral Processing industries, hereby maximizing growth of all its stakeholders.
The company provides structured and profiled training interventions to clients by providing Skills Programs and Learnerships/Qualifications within the Services, Agriculture and Mining industry. These interventions are based on improved skills and work performance relevant to business needs. It is strategically necessary for companies to invest in the education, training and skills development of their employees. Training and skills development are essential for the growth of individuals, organizations, and communities. Developing a learning culture empowers companies to achieve dramatically improved results. Training is a key element in the business strategy of an organization dedicated to continuous learning.

Thandiwe has over twenty years of mineral processing experience both at junior and senior levels from various mines including Anglo American Platinum, Barplats mine and Tharisa Minerals. She has thorough knowledge of SAQA, NQF and Skills Development Legislation, coupled with extensive experience in skills development and training. She has been involved in development, implementation and monitoring of skills development plans for the Mining Qualifications Authority (MQA). Thandiwe has extensive experience with Needs Analysis within an organization coupled with an in-depth understanding of Workplace Skills Plans and Annual Training Reports (ATR). She has been a shareholder at Thusang Metallurgical Training and Consulting Company for three years and contributed immensely to its success.
